Gun Restrictions Face Uphill Battle Even Under Biden

6 million new gun owners, liberals "realizing" that their precious government can indeed become tyrannical, mass rioting within stone throws of suburbans infested with pearl clutchers, U.S. citizens realizing that police brutality can happen on their own door steps, proper 6-3 conservative grip in the U.S. Supreme Court, mass unemployment with businesses forced to stay shutdown, estimated 500 million guns in civilian hands...

...yea, firearms are not going to disappear from this country any time soon.

except its really a 5-4 conservative grip. John Roberts has proven several times he loves legislating from his position.

Justice Clarence Thomas is really going to push for a return to 2nd Amendment rights as he's said multiple times that he'd like to hear more 2nd Amendment cases.

He needs to do it before he talks about retiring again.

Also, Breyer is going to step down soon. If Reps keep the senate, it may make him pause and try and hold on.

Anyone remember efforts to micro stamp every round of ammo? Every round with a unique ID to be taxed and tracked?

I suspect someone might consider using the current non ID'd ammo to prevent that?
I don't buy the argument that since liberals bought guns our 2a rights are more protected. The same liberals that bought those guns are the same individuals that would passively give up their rights. Maybe I'm wrong (hopefully I am) but our 2a rights have been under attack even under Trump and nothing has been done.

I can see someone suggesting the ammo id, scary thought though.

That's a great way to get criminals into reloading and casting bullets. Even if they passed crazy regulations on powder and primers it's way too easy to pull the factory projectile and reinsert a cast bullet. Someone would eventually bring this up before legislation was passed. Right?

It's going to be the taxes that'll get us. Only the uber wealthy will be able to afford to shoot.

Well gun rights is a basic constitutional right. However when you have communist traitors running the govnt, the constitution doesnt mean jack. They’ve been creeping in gun control treason for decades, and the Constitution be damned. Democrats and rinos dont care about the Constitution, they only care about control over you, what you own, how much you get in pay, what you say and what you do. The source of all this? The govnt no longer fears its people, that needs to change.

IMO BLM/Antifa are setting the example we need to follow if gun control becomes a real possibility.

In the meantime, call your sheriff, ask him if he’s a punk bitch or is willing to do what’s right and declare a 2A sanctuary when the time comes..

That would be great unless you're in a blue state and they decide to cut funding for any Sheriff's that set up a 2A sanctuary. Anyway you slice this rotten, moldy loaf of bread if we lose the Senate, life is going to get very interesting.

Simply separates the men from the boys. If a check is more important than your country, then I don’t want em on my side.

Your first sentence was key. It is a check to a lot of them, just like most gun owners talk a lot of shit about how they aren't going to give anything up. Time will tell who is going to walk the walk.

I think Biden will attack ammo and try to place common guns and magazines in the NFA.

I’m not convinced a large amount of libtards bought guns either. If they did, they’d gladly give them up when dear leader says.
Exactly. I guarantee most of those libtards bought firearms with the intention of potentially using them on “Nazis”/“right wing terrorists”. Antifa/BLM are divinely righteous in their eyes, and the gov’t(when Dems are in charge) is their god who must be obeyed always.

Then who will enforce their rules?

Then who will enforce their rules?

These are the same states that have politicians that support defunding the police without them setting up a 2A sanctuary. These traitors to the Constitution that work for us believe that their rules won't need enforcing because all of them are obeyed so diligently now. All we need is a new law and presto, problem solved.

Of course they’re reporting that now. The GA Senate race is still going. Think Biden is going to say he’s coming after your guns with the balance of the Senate in play???

Familiar script. Right now because of the Senate race he is saying he cant do it by executive order and it needs to be done through legislation. Next year he will wait for legislation to get passed. It won’t happen. Then after an event he’ll say that since Congress can’t do something, he has to stop the “assault rifles” and pass executive orders.

Ha! You mean the same guys that can’t hunt for more than half a day because they have to get home to the wife's teet? The same guys who cry when their truck get scratched. The same folks who think “boycott” is some fancy newfangled sandwich? Gun owners aren’t going to do shit. They will raid your neighbors how and you claim you don’t know him.

All the bluster talk is just an excuse to kick the can down the road rather than acting when we have had opportunities to do so. No one fears us politically anymore .....or any other way for that matter.

The left ain't gonna give up shit. Just like the thugs. It is going to be honest law abiding citizens. When guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns. Or Patriots that are ready to party.

I do agree with that argument. It alway seems we give up everything. Look at the 1994 Crime Bill. Nothing in it stopped 1 criminal, but it affected many law abiding people.

But I just don't see Biden being able to his 100 day purge of firearms.

Pardon my poor immigrant ignorance, but executive orders don't apply to government agencies and employees only? I read somewhere couple years back that an executive order cannot be imposed on general population.

This, exactly, and I’m surprised it took so many posts for it to be said. The MSM is in the nutsack of the libs, and they will lie and report anything they can to sway the GA runoffs in their favor. This might as well be their front page.

Get your heads out of your asses fellas, they’re going to come for them if they take those two seats, midterms and blue dogs be damned, they will both be sacrificed for power over their perceived minions.

I don't know about that, but I found this interesting.

"Under our system of government, the president’s authority to issue such orders (or to engage in any other form of unilateral executive action) must come from the Constitution or federal law. Put another way, an executive order can be used to execute a power the commander in chief already has. It can’t be used to give the presidency new powers."
