So I have to say I’m a pretty die hard Leupold guy for the past 40 years. Now I’ve been reading a lot of mixed reviews some bad stories lately about my beloved Leupold. I’m also reading a lot of great reviews about other brands I know nothing about! So I’m in need of a new 300 yards and under scope for a few of my bolt action chasis guns. I will Not shoot over 300 yards and my shots are usually at little prairie dogs. My budget $700 and under. Reccomend me some great clear glass ..... I was even looking at Super Sniper scopes but are they clear ? Then there’s vortex .... Nikon (yes the quit making scopes ) meopta , Bushnell what else??

Bushnell 4.5x18x44. Really good glass, reticle and tracking. Usually find used for 750-800. Swfa 5-20 is another option. I have owned both and they are solid

Give the Meopta Optika6 a look. 3-18x50 or 4.5-27x50 with a 30mm tube should serve all your needs perfectly. I couldn't be happier with mine. I do suggest a sunshade for those days when it's appropriate. The hard part will be finding them but that should get easier after the first of the year I imagine.

I'd take a meopta over a Leupold any day of the week.
