Got some Long Rifle yesterday, loaded up some pressure check rounds. Rifle is: Ruger American 6.5 CM 22" factory barrel, brass Nosler LRP, Bullet 140gn ELDM, Primer CCI 200. 39-42.5 in .5 increments. 39= obviously slow @ just under 2600 fps. 41= just under 2700 but SD was in the 40's. 41.5= 2726 2 of 3 matching speed with spread of 23. This is where the fun begins! 42= 2683,2766,2827 got some pressure marks from the ejector plunger and a slight swipe. 42.5= "THATS TO MUCH BOB(now Drew)" lol blew out a couple primers so lesson learned!
Needless to say it looks like I will try and stick right around that 41.5 marker, lets be real a 6.5CM running 140's in the 2700's is the sweet spot.
Hope this helps, going to load up some Peterson SRP today and check it out, shouldn't be much different though because with H4350 I run 42gn in both brass loads and get SD's around 10-20 over hundred of rounds.
Final thoughts about the powder? For the cost it's pretty damn close to H4350 in SD and speed so far, I have 8lbs of it to change my mind though!
