Tikka, CZ or Bergara

The bolt on the Tikka has a lower lift angle and a shorter throw than the Bergara. That makes it easier for me to operate the Tikka smoothly, especially on the clock. The factory trigger in my Tikka allowed me to adjust it lower than the one that comes in the Bergara. Both are pretty impressive for factory triggers, but I think the Tikka is a bit better. My Bergara is more accurate with more varieties of ammo than my Tikka. The Tikka is pickier with ammo but is almost as accurate once you find what it likes. The Bergara is heavy and solid and feels like a centerfire. The Tikka is lighter and easier to carry, but still feels like a real rifle. The factory stock on the Bergara is very good. The factory stock on the Tikka is some of the best tupperware I've seen, but it's still tupperware.

I have no experience with CZ so I can't add any comparison there.

Can't speak to the Bergara just yet but I have been very pleased with my Tikka. Shoots .2's and .3's @50 with Eley Team and mine shoots a lot of other things well. When I mean well, that is there are a number of ammo's that shoot 1/2" @ 50 yards. Working on getting a chassis for it now and so far the only ting I have done to it was put a different trigger spring in it.

Good gun, any you can get it and put it in a chassis if you prefer for might near about the price of the Bergara. Seeing the T1X for about $450 right now.

Don't think you can go wrong with either and I will own the Bergara soon. Messed up and bought the Christensen Arms first before the Begara because it came in stock at my local gun store.

If you put a T1X in a chassis, there is very little difference between buying a B14R barreled action and putting it in a chassis.
The Tikka has a much better trigger but really struggles feeding and ejecting certain ammo. The B14R will be able to use your Vudoo mags.

Thinking about building a rifle for the wife so she can come shoot matches with me. I have a Vudoo and was thinking about getting her a B14r barreled action since it will also be a rem700 footprint. But before buying would the Tikka t1x or CZ457 be better for any reason?
Only from an economical, money saving standpoint. With the aftermarket options, the sky's the limit for the B-14r.

I have a B14R and really enjoy it. It shoots SK Rifle Match, Standard & Long Range sub 1/2” at 50 yards if I’m doing my part. I like the fact it is an identical platform to my Bergara precision rifle. I have been thinking about adding the CZ 457 or the Ruger American Long Range Target as a second rifle.

I own all three. All shoot better than most can shoot them. Price wise, Tikka hands down. Bergara, has a nice stock, trigger is ok, adjusted to 2.75lbs. CZ will need trigger work, and chassis. Tikka trigger is awesome, my trigger is adjusted to 1lb, will need a chassis, only. I did not like the factory stock on the Tikka, went KRG Bravo. CZ stock is nice, did not want to scratch it up, went with Boyds.

Everyday I think of selling the 10-22 Target. It is not as fun as the bolt guns. YMMV.

I got both in 17HMR, the CZ being a 457 American. Both are scoped with Weaver GS 4-16x44 Varmint EB-X. Both are bone stock and have only about 500 rounds through them with various ammo brands and bullet weights.

The jury is still out as to what ammo is best for each rifle.
