Likely coming. Maybe some Canadian members can chime in but a friend of mine in Alberta said that Ontario was paying people to turn their neighbors in.

Good grief man! Then they continued to bulldog that poor fellow once they got him outside. Told my wife some time ago that when they (law enforcement, health inspectors, nosy neighbors, whoever thinks they have a right to enforce a so called "mandate") pick the wrong house/people it's gonna get horrific.

Reminds me of the lockdown enforcements by jack boot squads in the great Tuberculosis pandemic of 2019, the SARS epidemic of 2002-2003, and the Hong Kong Flu of 1968-1970.

Not covid related but NY State is already paying people to turn their neighbors in for SAFE Act violations. They posted billboards with the info and number to call.
It's okay. When the police get back to the station, they will be arrested for violating the gathering limit by another group of officers. Then those guys get arrested and before you know it, the police precinct have locked themselves in jail. Science.
They have been doing that for years, and since there are so many commie nazi liberals there, they look at like their civic duty.

No, because in the town I live in we have pro Constitution pro liberty groups being active in local politics and making sure we get the right people in office and the wrong out. It's far from perfect yet but there's no way our County Sheriff or Chief of Police would allow evil shit like this to occur. They've already told our crap establishment GOP Governor to shove his Covidiot orders where the Sun don't shine. This is the way forward, get involved in local politics! If you live somewhere where it seems impossible to change things locally for the better, maybe it's time to move. The time to get active is now, not when thugs in uniform come bashing on the door and there's no other option but to water the tree of liberty.
Speaking of the story itself, Gatineau where this occurred while in Quebec is just across the river from Ottawa. I've lived in Ottawa, I've lived in a number of places in the World and can say I've never met a bunch of people who worship government like cucked slaves more than the residents of Ottawa. I'm sure China and North Korea are way worse but I've never lived there. So while the story disgusts me, it doesn't surprise me, and I'm sure many of the local people there are cheering the police and calling them heroes. Not a dig at Canada as a whole, I know there's good Canadians. I personally know many, but they're not the majority. Culture matters, and culture is shaped by a county's history. What separates Canada and the US is the US fought a vicious costly war to be free of the tyranny of King George, Canada sided with King George.
