NRL22 Scope (ZCO, ATACR)

Hi all, have been into rimfire and long-range airguns for a while but new here. I'm looking at getting into NRL22 and have scope questions. I've been using a S&B 5-25x56 for a while with a Tremor3. I love that scope on centerfires, but I'm looking at other reticles for rimfire.

Looking through some of the threads I've seen the ATACR 7-35 and ZCO 527 are pretty comparable, and I'm a fan of the MIL-XT and MPCT2 reticles. For those who have worked with each, what's your opinion on each for NRL22 use?

I run an 527 MPCT2 on my CF match gun. My only complaint is it’s not the MPCT3.

I owned both at the same time. Sold the atacr to buy another zco. I typically shoot in the middle of the magnification range and I can shoot 25 to 100 yards and never need to adjust the parallax which saves time on stages. 40 MOA base leaves me 25 mils of elevation to dial out from a 25 yard zero and plenty if I ever decide to add more cant to dial further.

I’ve run a ZCO 5-27 MPCT 2 on my comp 22lr rifle for a couple months now. I love it. Comes in handy for the hold over stages and the large FOV is nice as well.

Im running the ZC 4x20 on my Vudoo and it is working out very nice

I run the ATACR 7-35 mil-xt on my Vudoo and am plenty happy with it. Haven’t looked through the other option, so can’t compare the two but I am pleased with the NF.

On my ZCO with a 20moa base, I was getting 22ish. Add another 3ish Mils for the extra 10moa.

In the process of switching from the 7-35 ATACR to the ZCO 527 (waiting for arrival) on my RimX. Our range slopes down for about 40 yards them up out to 200. I am a hard time finding the close in targets quickly. The ATACR has 15 ft FOV at 100 vs the ZCO 20 ft. I put my Gen 2 Razor on for comparison (it also has 20ft field of view) big difference. The Razor only parallaxes down to 32 yds. vs 27 on the ZCO. I asked CS Tactical about the 420 (28 ft. FOV) but he said most people are happy with the 527. I'll probably end up putting the ATACR up on the hide.

I am looking at all of the scopes you mentioned. I am curious what you didnt like about the rzr? I am trying to find a reason to cheap out. I currently have a PST Gen 2 and am looking to upgrade

Love the Razor. We don't shoot 25yds that many rounds , if you can live with fuzzy at 25 yds- you are good to go. It hasn't kept me from making those hits. They pop up on the hide fairly regularly.
