Greetings,

I recently purchased 2 x Ballistic Advantage 11.3 Hanson profile barrels for a couple builds.

Upon borescoping both barrels, I noticed one of the barrels had a section with some finish inconsistencies. The section is circumferential, about 1 inch long, and starts about 1/2 inch above the throat (2 pictures attached, one with the section in question and one normal pic of the rest of the barrel).

Am I being overly concerned with this? Any explanation for it? Given the crazy demand I am just worried about declining QA/QC to keep up.

BA customer service looked at the pics and said it doesn't look "too abnormal". I'm sure they want me to shoot it first to see if there's a problem, but if there is a problem I'd like fix it before installation, bench shooting it with my own match ammo, etc.

Thanks guys.

Because of the finish inconsistencies? Trying to figure out what would cause it and how it translates into something like degraded service life?

Assuming it had to do with imperfections in the QPQ process
