Mhahn is correct. They had SK Standard and Longrange and Aguila bricks. I couldn't tell you the price anymore. I just remember the Aguila bricks were cheaper than I have seen in a while.
The powder was the first to leave my cart. When I refreshed the Aguila was gone. When I made it to payment, the SK was gone, so I assume they ran out in that order.
Its humorous now, but at the time I was pissed. I am just grateful that the Eley showed up yesterday.

It was in stock Friday at 2. Site crashed at 2:30-2:45. Site back up Saturday around 2 and site was so damn slow you couldn’t buy a damn thing. This is the 3rd site upgrade they have done since December. It has gotten worse each time. They are a local place to me so I buy from them. The website is killing me though. Maybe try to drop 1 ammo or powder a day not all at the same damn time.

nor would you imho as the people going to gun shows are usually well stocked but only represent 1 maybe 1.5% of the shooting community.
group think is a bad thing but those prices for 223/556 at .75/rd is not bad in today's mkt at all. I get in stock notifications form everywhere and it's all at or over 1/rd and it's gone by the time I click through (I'm well stocked but curious on the mkt). We are the exception, the outliers, not the norm.
Prices will remain high as long as people continue to pay them, or at least appear to be paying them.
At this point I'm convinced that a lot of the guys cleaning out sites like Midway at current prices are doing it in the hopes of reselling at even higher prices online or elsewhere.
I don't buy that the average gun owner is waiting in front of their computer (and using bots or sites like Discord to give them an edge) all day in the hopes getting in on the 60 second rush it takes for resellers to clean out Midway, Midsouth, etc. every time they post ammo as in stock.
Most of that ammo is ending up on Gun Broker, sitting on a table at a gun show (or in your LGS/Pawn Shop), or posted in places like the PX here on SH, usually at a substantial markup over the already inflated retail price. The same goes for reloading components.
I have been wondering how much of an effect the sudden surge of people working remote has had on all this. 100% of my company is working remote and most of our clients have cleared out their offices for their employees to work remote. Perhaps they have two screens up and casually play the ammo market like stocks in the comfort of their home. It certainly feels like a bubble market though.
I do feel for all the competition shooters out there and I worry how much this has stunted the growth of possible competitors that have been turned away by the price of entry now.
you are misrepresenting the 'avg gun owner' thinking you are part of that group. you and I are NOT part of that group as the avg gun owner isn't on this or similar sites. remember the group think comment, we are the 1%. I have plenty of buddies who are avg gun owners that have fewer than 1k rds combined! you and I and this board is not the norm my friend
I think we'll have 2yrs of this. Already reports out of Fed that raw materials are an issue of sorts and some lines will be scaled back for 5.56/9mm production. This doesn't include any externalities like regs, media nonsense with any shootings etc etc.
It's not about people paying the prices, it's basic supply and demand and you add 8mm new shooters to any equation and you just jacked prices. Now add the election, liberal riots, threat of regulations. People will pay, I know new shooters to our womens' program and they will pay any dollar to have ammo. No use having a weapon with no ammo. Guys with safes full of weapons and limited ammo is the definition of stupidity imho

22lr will continue to go up as it's a cheap alternative to train with for the m4 platform and most widely used caliber for new and younger shooters. we'll see .35/rd normal and people won't bat an eye with 5.56 over 1/rd (as we are seeing now)
I don't like paying the High prices of the Ammo today either way it shakes. In my home town its all the people buying to re sell and waiting in line. Then people buying calibers they don't own just to trade it for something to flip and price is doubled on both ends.
The RF Match ammo I will buy when I see it and have the funds standing by. I will send the Vudoo to Lapua and buy 2 or 3 cases of its ammo and be set for a long time.
I just wish Midsouth Shooters Supply didn't have website problems and I would have had 2 bricks of 3 SK Lines my Bergara likes. A total of 3K rounds would have lasted this year for NRL22 Matches. I just hope some of my notifications hit when I'm available to order!!!

Yeah, I think there's definitely some of that going on.
As for competition shooters, most of the guys I know who are already into it are set for this year at least, as they've long since learned to buy in volume. It's next year, or the year after that could be a problem if availability doesn't normalize. That is causing some to limit their shooting somewhat in anticipation of having to stretch things out.
I think the lack of factory ammo availability, and the prices when it is available, will probably keep most new shooters away from competition for as long as it lasts. Not many guys will pay $3 and up per round for 6.5 Creedmoor ammo, or even $15 and per box for 22lr match ammo, just to try shooting a match for the first time.
Maybe you need to re-read my post? I said the average gun owner is not sitting in front of their computer all day every day just so they can snag a case of ammo from a retailer like Midway (because it's selling out in minutes) at 3 times the price it was selling for a year ago.
I also didn't say that I see myself as the "average gun owner" (I know that I'm not).
If you spend a few days watching the reloading server on Discord you'll notice there is ammo (and reloading components) being listed as in-stock on major retailer's websites at all hours of the day, every day of the week. But it is being purchased in large quantities (multiple cases when the websites allow it), often selling out within a minute or two of coming in stock.
Joe Fudd isn't doing that, neither is your shooting buddy with a few hundred rounds in his safe, or the soccer mom who just bought her first handgun.
Many of folks who are, are buying it to flip for a profit, and it creates the illusion that there is no ammo available. It also frequently crashes websites making them nearly unusable for anyone who's not running some sort of bot to get ahead of the rush.
I've also heard of some larger LGS taking what they can get on allocation from distributors and immediately putting it on Gun Broker because they can get more there than selling to their local customers (there's at least one in my area doing that to some extent).
I'm not passing judgement on any of this behavior (it is what it is, even though it will likely reduce the number of new shooters for a while), but I am thankful I have enough put away to hopefully wait out the worst of it.

I have not purchased any but I calculated you could get it as cheap as .20 cpr if you purchased 2 bricks or more and used flat rate.
Said limit 100 so I’m guessing that’s 2 boxes of 50 rd. Flat shipping of 9.95. It’s already sold out. That was fast.
Lol. No it won't let you order only 2 boxes. You needed a $40 dollar minimum purchase and it means 100 boxes limit.
I.E. a full case of 10 bricks being 100 boxes.
