Super Sniper scope?

I glommed a scope at a recent estate sale. I was primarily interested in the rings (A.R.M.S. quick release), but the scope is actually fairly nice.

The question is: what is this scope? There is no manufacturer or specifications (power, lens size, etc) marked anywhere on the scope. I think , based on comparison to a 6-24 scope, that it is about 10 power.

It bears a lot of similarities to the SWFA SS scope, but has no SSFA markings. It does have a "Kenko Japan" sticker on it.

What do you guys think?

Looking into the history of the pre SWFA scopes, Tasco was attempting to put together a Japanese optic for a military contract. This could be it.

It's got a 30MM tube and a mildot reticle.

Looks like 1/4 moa knobs. I'd expect the reticle is a mildot.

I'd guess 90s/early 2000s era.

Well, damned if there wasn't some information stamped on the underside of the scope. It was under the ring. No manufacturer, though. I guess I have to go with the Kenko sticker.

Am I seeing it wrong or does it say SS10x42? Pretty sure that’s how my last swfa was stamped but it’s been years ago so I don’t remember for sure.

That’s a Super Sniper for sure, their part numbers all start with SS followed by the type of scope (10x42, 6x42, etc.). Probably an early model as pointed out.

Well actually, based on those stampings and the article from the history page at SWFA that @B y r o n posted above, that is a more recent version of the SWFA SS10x42 called the AR. They say that this one only has the best of the best parts in it, per this:
