  • Hi,

    Community/ Industry assistance time!!

We are seeking your votes on the Top 3 YouTube (Snipers Hide is already accounted for without question) review channels specializing in precision rifles, military equipment or LE equipment.

    Please post your recommendations.

We will contact the Top 3 around first of May to open discussions with them in regards to doing a hybrid (live/recorded) show highlighting the new Aspis weapon system with us.

    Sincerely,
    Theis

Mike Drop (Mike Ritland), skilled long form interviews with perhaps the most important military equipment, the warriors.

    (sorry, not gear reviews).

Do you have a minimum viewership number in mind? Precision rifle channels generally end up with very few audience members, hundreds to less than 6k views, compared to the general tactical type content which ends up in hundreds of thousands to millions of views per video.

Or is your goal to target specific people interested precision in bolt action regardless of audience size?

Have you talked with Ilya (Dark Lord of Optics)?
He has a really good following on scopes and is looking to do a bit more rifle videos.

He’s finally allowed to shoot? @hic28 lol

Back to the OP. “Long range with the Lilly’s” is a good one for those that compete or barely getting into competition. Precision rifle related, regardless.

For all those who mentioned Garand Thumb, I have had some interaction with him personally. The gentleman in question is a poser and has absolutely no tactical professional background. He was a SERE guy for a few years and then became a Air Liason Officer. He also speeds up his video to make it look like he shoots faster. In my opinion, if you can’t do it for real, don’t edit video to make it look like you can. In truly professional circles, this individual has a VERY poor reputation and both he and his associates are looked upon with doubt.

Vickers is a good dude for sure, but he was an assaulter, not a sniper and he will admit it. He knows a good weapon when he sees one though.

I would look at Kyle Lamb of VTAC. He was a sniper at the unit. Very experienced dude. A professional and a gentleman.

9 Hole Reviews. But I believe the furthest he normally shoots is 900yds. Perhaps limited by the local range.

Highly second this recommendation for 9 Hole Reviews. Also a plug for Forgotten Weapons with Ian McCollum. I know him personally and he is a true gentleman. He also has some type of design and production engineering background. I forget the exact title.

Ian is another I think would be GTG.

His early AI vids are nice.

Ian is not a LR type guy and he admits it. However, he has some kind of manufacturing engineering type background, which i forget the specifics of. He knows enough to know a good and efficient design when he sees it.

I really think there’s a opportunity for a precision bolt action channel combining the elements of Ian, mark and Sam and Erik cortina with lots of testing, reviews and shooting at various locations.
Something aimed at the average joe instead of strictly gamer/PRS ELR or F class.
Lots of the other channels just don’t do anything for me.

    Try 9 Hole Reviews.

His coverage of firearms history, design elements and evolution is by far the best out there regardless of his shooting abilities.

I've been mulling around the idea of a channel for the podcast. Idk if the juice is worth the squeeze though.
