/chode might chime in to say these are professional mask wearers that know that every time they touch the mask increases contamination odds.

There is no logical or rational reason to put one on your face for the reasons people are told they should. Two things amaze me in this thread. First, that people wear masks outside. Second, that so many people are sure they know exactly why other people decide to or not to wear a mask. It's laughable.
That may be true, I am not going to rehash it, but there are reasons to do it nonetheless that have nothing to do with turning yourself into a serf or whatever. There is no logical or rational reason to put one on your face for the reasons people are told they should.
Unless it’s a p100 full face respirator, then no their isntThat may be true, I am not going to rehash it, but there are reasons to do it nonetheless that have nothing to do with turning yourself into a serf or whatever.
You are correct. There are two reasons. That may be true, I am not going to rehash it, but there are reasons to do it nonetheless that have nothing to do with turning yourself into a serf or whatever.

There are other reasons. The same reason you open doors for women, give seats up to the elderly etc.You are correct. There are two reasons.
1. Fear of repercussions
2. Ignorance and/or stupidity
Bend the knee and show you fealty serfThere are other reasons. The same reason you open doors for women, give seats up to the elderly etc.
No sir. I do both those things out of respect. I will not respect other peoples ignorance. That is not a trait worth respecting. There are other reasons. The same reason you open doors for women, give seats up to the elderly etc.
Just make sure not to display your own...No sir. I do both those things out of respect. I will not respect other peoples ignorance. That is not a trait worth respecting.
Point it out. Where do you disagree with me. Surely you aren’t going to debate the mask effectiveness issue.Just make sure not to display your own...
oh wait...nvm.
I'll have to disagree with you, respectfully. I am sure as hell not going to jeopardize the business license of a small business because I don't want to wear a mask, or to make somebody more uncomfortable than necessary if I can take on a bit of discomfort myself. I'll judge people from a distance, but in the moment, I'd prefer to take on a small burden, no matter how irrational, over placing it on the shoulders of somebody else.No sir. I do both those things out of respect. I will not respect other peoples ignorance. That is not a trait worth respecting.
Isn’t the real problem the fact that acting rationally and not playing make believe could cost a man his business? Isn’t it a shame that licenses are used by the state solely for revenue and control? Isn’t it a shame that the vast majority of Americans never educated themselves concerning these face coverings or even bothered to ask the state to prove what they are advising? Isn’t it a shame that the populace didn’t push back when it was as simple as just acting normal?I'll have to disagree with you, respectfully. Maybe I’ve missed it but I have yet to see a single business that was given a hard time unless they were posted FU videos about it.I'll have to disagree with you, respectfully. you might want others to believe you are being thoughtful or polite...your own virtue signaling...There are other reasons. The same reason you open doors for women, give seats up to the elderly etc.
There are a lot of "real" problems, not just one. And, quite frankly, while I am not a believer in the large scale effectiveness of masks, for reasons I have outlined here, I also do not subscribe to your "educated" theory either. But the main point stands. I would prefer to do something I felt was stupid than to make somebody else uncomfortable. That is a free choice. Our points of view differ, but being able to take at face value that it is a choice would be the correct sentiment here.Isn’t the real problem the fact that acting rationally and not playing make believe could cost a man his business? The point isn't really whether it would happen, but whether they feared it would. I couldn't live with myself for putting my comfort over their fear for their livelihood. Things were hard enough for small businesses.Maybe I’ve missed it but I have yet to see a single business that was given a hard time unless they were posted FU videos about it.
Okay, mindreader. As I have said, I really don't care what people think of me, which is pretty obvious given my posting history in here. It may be that I am reinforcing that idea, but what I am trying to do is not add stress to peoples lives if possible. There are unintended consequences to every act...you might want others to believe you are being thoughtful or polite...your own virtue signaling...
but you are just reinforcing the harmful idea that that folks should be afraid of healthy people.
So you fall under one of the two reasons I listed, specifically reason #1. Fear of repercussions. Regardless of your rationalizing it, you are afraid of saying “NO.” You could have just given my post a like and been done with it instead of writing that long winded tirade that proved my point.I wear a mask so I keep my job. Maybe that makes me a surf. An employed serf.
This whole bullshit about "bending the knee" yeah I know its the other guy.
Seriosuly? Fuck off.
How many Suppressors do you own? Did you ask the govt permission to get them? Fucking Peasant.
You get a carry permit? Asking the govt for permission to carry arms? Fucking Peasant
Pay your taxes? You mean to the jack-thug booted govt that kills innocent people every day and funds abortion? Fucking Peasant.
Pay your property taxes? You mean to those schools that indoctrinate our kids with Critical Race Theory and Marxism? Fucking Peasant.
Yeah I put on a mask so I could fly up to have christmas with my old man and my family. Do I think it helped? Yeah it helped me get on the plane without a fuss. Not with Covid. Small price to pay for another Christmas. You want me to hijack that shit and cause an international incident over a face mask?
If your "limit" was the mask mandate. Fuck you, Fuck your family, and Fuck the Horse you rode in on. You die on that hill. Not me. You are already a slave.
Peasant
yes, i'm willing to accept that the unintended consequences of ignorant assholes like you is brainwashed people afraid of healthy people.Okay, mindreader. If there weren’t penalties handed down by the government and employers under false pretenses then I would subscribe to your it’s a free choice theory. It is anything but free. There are a lot of "real" problems, not just one. It's still my free choice. Their fears may be handed down by the government, but that is separate. If there weren’t penalties handed down by the government and employers under false pretenses then I would subscribe to your it’s a free choice theory. It is anything but free.
Your example was a free choice. Now if you said Grace because your friends would arrest you or fine you $1000 if you didn’t then it is no longer a free choice. You would have been persuaded by coercion and you saying Grace would be conformity out of fear of the consequences. A choice yes, but far from free. It's still my free choice. Their fears may be handed down by the government, but that is separate.
I will give you a similar example that is more politics free. I am Jewish. If I go to friends houses that are Christian, or the Mennonite restaurant for fried chicken, and they want to say Grace, I join them. Obviously, it is not something I hold as very important, and there are all sorts of moral, political and religious issues wrapped up in it from them, so I do it along with them, because it is the right thing to do. I could, like others, step away to the bathroom, or mumble peas and carrots or whatever, but to me, it is the respectful thing to do, not matter that Christ means nothing to my understanding of the world.
Fair enough. In fact, I think the major point, and my original point, is that two people, in the same circumstances, can make the same decision for a myriad of different reasons. Out of free will or under duress. I mean, taking my example, there is even the idea that in doing so I could be granted Grace, and therefore have it be for a reason wholly unknown to me at the outset.Your example was a free choice. I see your point and for many it rings true. For millions around the world my example is just as true.
Maybe wearing a mask could actually save a life regardless of the fact that 100 years of actual studies prove otherwise. Just maybe its worth it.Fair enough. haha I’m in the same boat..Just read something that said that Americans without a vaccine are not allowed to go outside without a mask per the FDC and the muppets in the white house. Apparently this has been 'the rule' for a while now.
LOL hows it feel when people care so little that they don't even know about your bullshit rules?
Candace Owens for POTUS as soon as possible
I would be shocked if they said if you're vaccinated you no longer need to wear a mask period, I would guess they are saying that's only true outside per the OP. That's why I was saying you could cause a stir, you left out the key point they would say which is only outside is it acceptable in their mind.My mom, who has been afraid of the virus since the beginning, is a Democrat, and watches CNN all day, apparently got an email or text message update from... well, whatever iphone news thing she has, that said as much, apparently. Since she seems to believe anything Fauci, Biden, and Anderson Cooper says, it must be true!
If I could stop her, I would. I've thought about blocking the channel. Neither of my parents really know how to operate the TV, so they probably wouldn't figure out how to unblock it...I would be shocked if they said if you're vaccinated you no longer need to wear a mask period, I would guess they are saying that's only true outside per the OP. You've got to get her to stop watching that garbage. Show her the project veritas video of the CNN executive admitting their agenda and their propaganda. The corporate media is garbage, but CNN is among the worst of them.
Choid driving in her car:Two things amaze me in this thread. First, that people wear masks outside. Second, that so many people are sure they know exactly why other people decide to or not to wear a mask. It's laughable.
That's too bad, I'm sorry to hear it. Unfortunately I think that's true of the vast majority of Americans who watch that stuff, but it's a lot more heart breaking when it's people you love being brainwashed. If I could stop her, I would. I've thought about blocking the channel. Neither of my parents really know how to operate the TV, so they probably wouldn't figure out how to unblock it...
But showing her any kind of video or whatever? She won't care. CNN's agenda is her agenda, so she'll go along with it. She's gone along with CNN for the last 12 years, she's not gonna stop now, especially not with Biden in the White House.
Eh, well, when you're 70-something it's hard to change shit, anyway. And long before this she got sorta paranoid and easily-scared of things like terrorists and constantly worrying that someone had hit my dad on the head somewhere. (I have no idea why she fixated on that idea but she's threatened to call the police before because "he's been gone for so long" when it's been five minutes.) Seems a far cry from the person who flew all the way from South Carolina to South Korea to take a civilian posting at Camp Casey when my dad was there in the 60s, but I guess enough years of being a democrat will do that to you. That's too bad, I'm sorry to hear it. Unfortunately I think that's true of the vast majority of Americans who watch that stuff, but it's a lot more heart breaking when it's people you love being brainwashed.

Hmm. You open doors for women and give your seat to the elderly as a signal of virtue? So you're a virtue signaling faggot.
Got it
You bragging about doing it isnt?Hmm. You open doors for women and give your seat to the elderly as a signal of virtue?
I'm not bragging about it. I am suggesting that people raised correctly do things to make others feel comfortable. If somebody asks me to show up at their wedding in black tie, I don't go in jeans, either. You bragging about doing it isnt?
Of course you dont. And later you tell everybody how you didnt.... bro. You are a virtue signaling faggot. Lol. Im an asshole, i live with it, but im honest with myself about it. You are trying hard not to be the queer shaped peg you are and fit into any hole but your own.I'm not bragging about it.
