And no shocker here, even with Trump's pumping money in, the inflation number would have grown. Was not in favor of that either; but PJ has gone over the freaking top to buy more and more votes and force us into socialism by all the "unemployed" who are now making more sitting on their ass. What one man worked 4 years to improve and set us up for continued and unprecedented success...PJ and his ilk destroyed in less than 4 months!!!!!!!

Today's number is actually not that big a deal in a vacuum. People have been screaming about hyperinflation, and this is not that. It is disconcerting in light of the employment report last month, and, as you say, in light of poor incentives put in place by the current government, but outside of that, it should be taken in stride. The real issue is that given the employment issues, which are directly related to Biden policies, and the mild inflationary pressure, which is not unexpected in light of policy and circumstance over twelve months, we don't currently have any good policy alternatives once we figure out which of the two disparate risks is more problematic. All in, it isn't a great inflation number, but it isn't half as bad as the employment data was, so it is reasonable to see the risks as balanced, but high.

I've had drinks with Willie Brown several times. Dude is fucking slick with women. He's hard not to like. One year we went to three weddings he officiated, all because, at one point, he had been "dating" the mother of the bride and he was doing it as a favor.

When people say they want a Healthcare system like Canada, all they are saying is that they want free Healthcare and have no idea what Healthcare is like when it is "free".

I've had experiences in hospitals that I would expect in 3rd world countries, not a member of the G7.

I am more fake than them, from the standpoint of practicing. I mean I have literally never been to a temple in my life other than for somebody else's wedding. They are just awful people, though I am pretty sure they would be awful if they were Christians or Buddhists.

All that tells me is that those exposed to socialized healthcare have figured out just how much bullshit it is, and stay away from it as much as they can.

It also tells me the vast majority of people everywhere have realized what a total fucking scam this all is.

lol, none of my jewish friends or family go to temple as adults, but almost all of them went to hebrew school and were mitzvah'd.

My father convinced my mother to let me choose whether to go to Saturday school or whether to play little league baseball, then filled me with stories about how Sandy Koufax was the greatest Jew. It has been generations since anybody in my family has attended services. At least three, five, given those who come after me.

my best friends in high school were jewish brothers two years apart, and i celebrated with their family (had my own dreidel)... but they ate bacon and were only kosher around other jewish folks. grandma wanted them to marry nice jewish girls but one married a catholic daughter of a prominent vietnamese refugee in DC (we had senators at the wedding), and the other married a christian MLB baseball player's daughter.
