Are All Remington 870 Magnums chambered For 3"

I've got a friend who is giving me a Remington 870 Magnum without the barrel and buttstock. Are the magnums always built with a 3" chamber?

Yes, otherwise they wouldnt be called magnums.
Then there's the super mags that are chambered for 3 1/2".

Yeah that's what I thought, but I thought I'd get a second opinion. He doesn't remember what it was, so he was no help.

Man, lucky you. You have the basics to build a badass tactical shotgun with adjustable stock, pistol grip with none of the guilt associated with having to cut a ribbed barrel and removing a beautiful walnut stock.

Yes.

Wingmasters can be 2.75". But the magnums are all 3"

Seems like his wife got involved and now he wants money for it. $350 is just way too much.

Tell him a brand new one is $299, and they'll be back on the shelves this fall.
A partial in like new condition would get about $150-200 from me.

I still may get it, I think he told her such a high price so that he wouldn't be able to sell it for that price. Fingers crossed.
