Looks to be a D&L rifle with rollbar, love the "neck weld" and 8+ inches of eye relief though.
Come on Bob lee-db2000. Could be alot less believable. I was watching a show the other day with my wife, a guy got "sniped" from a shooter in the woods. The cops are interrogating him and it went something like:
"Where'd you learn to shoot like that? Ex-military? Special forces?"
They put the gun on the table (Remington 700 bdl, westhunter big reel 129$ scope, etc)
"Even with elite equipment like this- Theres not alot of people in the country that can make a shot like that."
"You killed that man from almost a football field away..."
My nostrils still burn from my drink being blasted through, and my ribs from laughing.
I made my wife go back so I could rewatch it again. My 9 y. o. daughter was hitting the silhouette target at 300 yards last weekend from standing position unsupported.
Made me think, what country were they in?

Nice "redneck engineering" using the sheet metal straps and a paper towel holder to protect that what appears to be a counter sniper scope. Never seen a tactical style chassis with out a floor plate or Mag. very sniper'ee.

It’s just unbelievable how much money goes into making these shows and the numerous silly things that are part of them. You’d think they would have a few advisors that would speak up and offer alternative options. Surely they realize a good fraction of people watching this type show are paying attention to these things.
In fairness, I have seen many people at the 100y range waste a box of ammo, trying feudally to hit a man sized silhouette or a target made to be shot at at 1,000.
As much as I enjoy the show Longmire, the first episode fills me with an unbridled sense of frustration and melancholy because of its maddening gun "logic".
It goes like this: Victim is shot and the bullet from a .45-70 is recovered. It's a .45-70 and is very rare. The only rifle that could've done it is a Sharps because ONLY the Sharps is chambered in .45-70. And since Sharps rifles are very rare and very expensive, this narrows down the list of suspects. And naturally when the sheriff finds who it is, it's a Sharps.
1. .45-70 isn't rare. Uncommon for most but still very much in use and in factory production.
2. No. Just no. Could've been a Trapdoor Springfield, or a Winchester/Marlin/Henry lever-action, High Wall, Marlin-Ballard, rolling-block, the list goes on a bit more.
3. Original Sharps rifles are, the American-made ones from Montana are, the Italian clones are not (and the rifle used in the show IS an Italian clone).
That massive leap in "logic" from a supposed "gun expert" character just makes me sad and the episode is all but unwatchable for me.
Perhaps not to all and that Longmire show is about Victoria Moretti anyways. 
I dont love TV. And have learned to ignore anything about firearms for the most part.

Or bolt-actions that somehow fire semi-auto. With no recoil. At least the syfy movies have the excuse of being so low-budget that they generally can't afford real guns, I guess. Gotta spend all that budget on CGI monsters that would make a mid-90s video game look like Avatar.
I instruct 4h shooting sports, and have a few kids that can hit pencils at 100 with rimfire. Maybe send them my way and we will let the kids teach 'em something.
love shooting at what ever range I can get to , I just simply love guns functional , never complain always up for more shooting what's not to like about them except maybe cost or hard to find ammo, but doesn't it just add to the fun when you do save enough to finally get what you wanted or the ammo to shoot your gun . Happiness is any day doing what you like to do .
My gf laughs at me pointing out random shit on movies/tv shows. My favorite is when pistols are drawn and at the ready, shooter steps around a corner to engage and you hear what sounds like a hammer being cocked… cool sound effect, if they weren’t holding Glocks
