With all of that carbon fiber, how heavy is she?

How are you liking the Ridge SP? I'm looking into getting one in the near future but I can't find much information on it.
I like it a lot. Honestly, I have several much more expensive hunting rifles that are probably not going to get used too often anymore. It is small and easy to maneuver, and shoots lights out.

Thank you I really appreciate it!

I can have my 8 year old nephew order 100 different suppressors online, get them in 2-3 days and have him sell them to other kids at school.
Or.. maybe just outside of School property.

Suppressors for eeeeeeverybody. :) :) :)

But I have to wait 8-12 weeks for a gun license to go through.. and only own 8 hunting rifles.

Gun laws..

Took the shorty out to 700m on Monday. She never disappoints. Creeping up on 2500 rounds through this barrel. Still smashing steel with cheap 140 BTHP handloads with ease!

Who did the paint on the Ax build ? It looks really good.

Thank you very much. It's H235 Coyote Tan on rifle and chassis. H190 on the bolt and bolt release Factory C240 on the RC.

All cerakote was done by Rich at Cape Fear Cerakote here in Wilmington, NC!

Tried to make it look as much like a factory AXSA as possible. Still kicking myself for not getting the Euro Optic demo AXSA's for $4,500.

This is how it comes from the factory in Canada. 12.5 inch 308 with moe grip and stock. I put on the cadex muzzle brake and trigicon 1×8 accupower.
Thanks for the reply! There is just something about 'shorty' rifles that I am inherently drawn to. Thanks again! :D

Anyone running a Witt SME Blast forwarding device on their short barrel. Wondering if it will help the noise level at the ear of my 16 inch 300 wsm

SAC Alpha 11 18" 7-08. I pulled my 23" 6.5CM barrel and had SAC get me setup with this 7-08. This should make for a great hunting rig. Just need to work up a good load for it now.

I'm interested in hearing what velocities you reach with that rig mate. I might need to get a shorty 7SAW barrel spun up

I have some 150gr Norma factory ammo for the donor brass and I'm going to load some 175 Berger Elite Hunters. 1:8 twist and a free bore of .120. Set up to run the heavies. I am also going to try some 168 VLD's when I can find them in stock somewhere. I have had quite a few people think I am crazy, but this is going to be bad ass.

I set my son up with a 16.5" 308 shooting 168 VLD's and I have been impressed with its performance. I didn't want to take that rifle from him, so I went with a 7-08 for my own. As soon as I get the chance, I will update for sure.

Very nice!

What’s your load and speed? How far have you taken it out?

Shooting a 28” 6br and would like a short barrel same caliber for hunting.
Thanks

I'm getting 2875 with 95tmk and 31.0gr h4895. 105 hunting vld with 29.3gr h4895 was 2725. 600 is farthest I've taken it, so far.

Edit: those groups at 600 were with the 95tmk. Wind was very light, 1-2, but there was some mirage to deal with

^ Sexy, love my 16.5 creed. I have some 130 RDFs loaded, I will see what kind of speed I can get. Are you going to run heavy bullets or go lighter

I was talking to Clayton at WTO and when this creed barrel goes south I think I am going to have him spin up a 6XC. If you are getting 2750 out of prime that is just about right. I want 2800 and I will have a 18” barrel so should work perfect.
