I can't get the quicklock screw to torque down to 49 in-lbs after I reinstalled my barrel. The barrel is screwed in all the way and does not seem to be twistable by hand but I can't get the screw to perceptibly tighten or trigger the torque wrench I am using. Any idea what the issue is?

Here are some pics. The screw just spins. It feels a little tight and the driver ratchet will engage, then it will feel lose again. The barrel seems tight though.
Is the bolt head stripped? Looks rounded out.

Looks stripped as F...yea man I would ask mile high for a new quick loc screw.
AXSR isn't bonded, just separate the action and chassis and inspect it (assuming it's not just a stripped screw).
If it's just the screw, you can likely get a new one from Ace Hardware while you wait for a "factory" replacement from Mile High.

I'm pretty sure AXSR for the US market uses standard hardware, while the AX MKIII for the rest of the world is metric. Unsure of the QuickLoc screw though. All the other legacy rifles are metric.
That bolt head looks as worn out as a Dirtwood stripper at noon on a payday weekend.
OP buy a quality set of drivers.
I am using the size specified in the manual. This is the first time I have touched the quick lock.
