My grandfather, Canadian Expeditionary Force (CEF) before being sent to France with his Ross rifle. He was 17 years old.

That pic belongs in a museum and a book on the Ross!
BTW, "The Ross Rifle Story" is a great book but sadly out of print : https://www.amazon.com/Ross-Rifle-s...d=1630360997&sprefix=the+ross+,aps,244&sr=8-1 Book shows some pics of Canadian Bisley and Palma teams equipped with the Ross.

Great phot and agreed, at least a copy of it should be in that museum.
I cant imagine much worse than being in those trenches.
