When did spuhr change torx sizes and can you use the larger screws in the older mounts ?

Bought a new Sako branded Spuhr from berettas sale and it came with the smaller torx ring cap screws. I had some spares and some from another mount and used them. Is there a problem doing this I see they still sell both size screws.

Also the base screws have a patina/rust on them ???

Well both say they’re M4x10 with TX20 drive. Could you post a side by side looking at heads and side profiles?

Separately, ZnNi + dry lube is the right choice here. Not sure what they used last time around but I also have some rusty spots I’ve needed to clean up a bit.

    Spuhr is over rated

Don't know about the change time line. But I got one of the Sako mounts as well. Stripped a screw out and could not find a replacement here in US. Got in contact with Spuhr and they sent me a bag of screws for the Sako branded mount. They indicated that mile high would not have screws for them. My guess is that Bretta was the only importer of the sako branded mounts.

Hmmm. I stole screws out of a newer spuhr mount and put them in the Sako branded mount
