Delta Stryker HD Owners chime in

Any one here own one? I purchased a 4.5-30 and have not mounted it yet. Glass looks clean, not sure about the eye box yet. Would like to get some opinions of those who have operated one.

Thanks

Sako
I've got one, glass is nice, turrets are nice, love the tool less zero on the turrets.
I'm not keen on the reticle, the 1st Mil around the centre is annoying and considering it's the most used portion of the reticle a real turn off for me.

I wish the FOV was wider, it's not bad but not as good as other scopes.
I do find myself needing to dial down magnification to find targets more so than other scopes I've used.

I was really interested in the DS till I saw the reticle

I have the DLR1 retical and it reminds me of the MSR, I like it actually.

EDIT: To add I compared the sharpness in image to my SnB PM2 both at 25x, I actually found it to be easier to have a sharper image at infinity. Closer around 100 yards the SnB seemed just a smidge sharper, but for the money it's really darn impressive glass.

Should have said I (and most people) have the LRD-1T, the DLR-1 is different in the centre and improves on all the complaints I have.

If you don't need/want a tree reticle the DLR-1 is the better reticle in my opinion.

Ah good to know. Well, Im gonna get it out and put it through some paces, see how she tracks to 1000...?

its not the best scope you can buy, but from scopes that are the same japan design (tract toric elr, athlon chronus btr, trijicon tm), even if everything from this scope I like more at other 3 mention scopes, I would probably choose delta optical again. because whole package is quite good, even if I dont like a LOT of things...
but on the other three scopes there are some stupid turets, finky paralax, worse glass, very thin reticle,... i like to have all numbers (down) in reticle like in delta optical... so even if I realy hate some things at delta optical, in this class I cant get better package.

Had one with the older turrets and DLR1 reticle for a year.

I would say that the glass is top notch and the reticle is very usable if a bit on the "heavy" side on line thickness. I could have kept it and I would not have been entierly unhappy. My biggest gripe with it was the mushy turrets and the very sticky parallax dial.
But even though, I shot the biggest competition of its kind in Scandinavia with the Stryker mounted on my TRG 22 and never felt that the scope held me back.
This year I have been back on Schmidt & Bender and a Kahles K624i. Both have better turrets, but I would be hard pressed to say that they are THAT much better to look through. Delta really did something good with the spec on the glass on the Stryker.

I have the 5x50 stryker have not had an issue in the 3+ years I have had it . I own 2 of them now looking once and if the prices fall to get a third for the money I loved it the ret is fine but see able and I've never been happier with a purchase I wanted a more expensive scope with a brand name but the sticker shock kept me away . Untill I found the delta and compared it at the range to more expensive scopes I quickly realized how much more I got while spending less money several almost a full thousand less yea me .Id hopped they will continue to make them in the future when and If prices ever drop a bit Id love to look into getting more of there products I just hope they don't loose there minds like so many other companies and start over charging while delivering less on the quality .

Ok, well.. I took it out today all mounted up on my SrS 338, glass is amazing, and the parallax worked well in conjunction with the glass. I'd say the glass is up there with my European scopes. I thought the eye box would bother me but it was not a problem at all. My only gripe so far is the mushy turrets and unscrewing the turret cap, little stiff because of the hard internal o rings. But really so far its the nicest optic I have for that price. That extra 5x taking it to 30x is nice when drilling holes in paper. Taking it out to 1000 in a week so we shall see.

on mine I hate mushy turrets, VERY hard paralax and magnification ring, and stupid turret cap for unscrewing, I dont like locking turrets.
but reticle is on thick side which is a game changer for me, because I shoot at our NRL22 on reticle with no magnification change, and numbers down next to reticle are nice for quick aiming.
so from those japan designs for me is better overall only Leica PRS (if we can say that this is half japan design) which is 600€ expecier (and maybe trijicon TM), all other scopes have some things better but worse reticle...
