Not to step on your parade but I saw a rifle listed with this particular marking on Guns America and copied the pic.
I have an original Sr25 ordered direct from KAC at the time they were provding the MK11 Mod O to the Navy. I purchased just the rifle with rings, mags and etc because the SEAL kit was about $7KUSD. Ipaid about $3500 for all.
Purchased what I thought was the correct Leupold from what I learned on BiggerHammer.net.
Subsequently I am reading that the Navy requested chnages from Leupold but what ever, I am certainly happy with my file in the present form. It was the 20” 5R barrel, not threaded for a can.
I susbsequently found a pic of what I consider the correct markings for the time.
What I have noticed, is the Vero Beach address, alignment of the markings and ‘Armament’ vs ‘MFG’.
My rifle is not aligned as the MK11 Mod O and does not have the ‘Armament’ marking.
Am I looking at a progression in time of marking changes or did Night’s mark the Navy rifles ‘Armament’ and civlian rifles ‘MFG’?
Your rifle is marked ‘MFG’ like mine, did Knight’s give you a reason that your rifle may be a clone a not an original?
Just trying to determine what is the correct marking for the MK11 Mod O.
