The Southern Trapper, a company known for its high-quality, hand-crafted leather goods, has released an ultra-exclusive collaboration firearm, the Southern Trapper Alligator R8 by Blaser. The ten-piece collection was painstakingly crafted by hand over two years by Blaser’s Custom Shop in Germany.

The masterpiece is made entirely from genuine American alligator skin that was sustainably harvested and hand-selected after tanning by Captain Bligh, the Grand Imaginator at Southern Trapper. The alligator skin transforms a rifle into a lavish and functional piece of art. Each rifle is made from a single piece of alligator skin by the most talented bespoke craftsmen in the world, this means no two rifles are alike.

WTF does sustainably harvested mean? Like from road kill?

WTF does sustainably harvested mean? Like from road kill?
As a serious answer, they are raised (like chickens), and slaughtered for skins, meat, and novelty items. It is an industry. They feed them Chicken at the Alligator farm in Hot Springs Arkansas. Not sure what they feed them elsewhere. Since they are of a population now at overstock levels in the wild, slaughter of farm-raised does not affect negatively the remaining wild breeding stock.
