I recently changed my mount from 1.57 inches to a mount that is 1.47 inches. How much should this change my elevation zero? I am asking because with the 1.57 I was only able to get 14 mils of elevation out of the scope. I have a 20 moa rail already.

If my math is right, maybe by .2 mils

ETA: Scratch that, its probably closer to .1

How many mils of travel does your scope have?
I bet there’s more error in the mount Itself than there will be in the height change.

What issue are you having they you think a bigger tube will fix?

Elevation travel. I am using a 30 mm scope that only allows up to 20 mils of travel. My other rifle has a 34 mm scope that allows for 32 mils. Generally it seems that the larger the scope body. The more useable travel.

That isn’t necessarily the case.
