Thought the Ruger 10/22 Takedown models were a neat item. Thought it would be even better with a Butler Creek folding stock. So, commenced to making one. Ended up with this: ...another black rifle. Ho hum... So.....thought this might be appropriate. Also added an A2...
Forgot to mention.... Does everybody CLEAN their new (or used) dies PRIOR to reloading? Dies have a rust preventative sprayed on them. Disassemble and clean thoroughly - I use carb cleaner and a plastic brush on sizing and seating dies.
You tumble loaded rounds? Is this not supposed to be kind of hard on powder? (breaks it down into smaller pieces or change the burn rate by a multitude of methods) Have also read, from several sources, it is possible to light a round off when tumbling loaded rounds.
Barrel nut, floating bolt head.........what is not to like? Can convert a long action from 17 Squirrel to 338 RUM in 15 minutes.......what is not to like?
FYI - 7.5x55 brass IS available....just neck UP 284 Winchester brass. Extracts perfectly....and is a LOT cheaper than trying to find boxer primed 7.5x55 brass.
