Re: .300
Thank you guys. I appreciate it.
I will have to look into the ladder test. I have not heard of that before, but is it where you take the cold and hot loads listed and then work your way through them at consistent increase of charge. Like you start at say 60 grains for a cold load...
I have a .300 winmag Savage 110 FCP that I am currently working on for a long range shooter. Well semi-long range shooter since I think that 600 yards is long range. I was on 24hourcampfire.com and they gave me some good hunting loads, but the load that worked the best for me was good for...
Re: James Cameron's Avatar
Calling them pathetic is not really a fair judgment. It would be better to say under privileged. I am sure that statements like that come from people who live in big cities who have little contact with nature. They are so locked up in that big city they don’t...
Re: James Cameron's Avatar
A lot of people are saying that they would like to live like the Na’Vi and since we “killing our world” (sorry about that liberal backwash)they can't live like that. They say that they want to be more in touch with the earth. Kind of like the Native Americans were...
Re: James Cameron's Avatar
I think what it has to deal with is the fact that people think that if there was no military then there would be no war. Now we both know that is blatantly incorrect, however that is how people rationalize it. Kind of like – if there are no guns then there would be...
Re: James Cameron's Avatar
LOL, it was a sarcastic comment. Yeah, Cameron hates the military.
In the Terminator movies (1 and 2 are a few of my favorite all time movies) who's fault is it for unleashing SKYNET? The military, the Air Force specifically.
Rambo: First blood Part 2. I can't...
Re: This is my rifle
Nice looking rifle. A question about your muzzle break there. I am just making an assumption here but i am assuming that the break is for reducing recoil. I am not criticizing your work but wouldn't it have been more effective to give the slots more of an angle to them...
Re: James Cameron's Avatar
Well just to play the devils advocate, there might be a reason that the Marines in this movie do not act like Marines. Again going back to Cameron’s notes about the movie he said that the military became mercenaries due to the fact that there were “no more wars to...
Re: James Cameron's Avatar
I went and saw this movie the last weekend. I saw it in 3D but just at a regular theater. I will get this out of the way first. I honestly thought that the 3D effect was rather poorly done. I thought I was looking at a popup book rather than a 3D movie.
Also...
Re: .50 BMG
I have had very good success with collet dies from LEE. I used them with my 300 wm and the comparison between neck sizing and collet sizing was tremendous. LEE makes a .50 BMG version of the collet die. I understand that collet dies do not work on casing that have not been fired...
Re: .50 BMG
I heard from someone that on most BMG cases there is a lacquer coating that builds up on the inside of the neck that could prevent the bullet from seating correctly. Do you find that to be true? If so, how do you remove the lacquer?
