I just picked up an older Suhl single shot 22 LR.... at a bargain price... It has been sporterized... I think it was used by the Germans for marksmanship training... Will post pics eventually.... my guess is that it is a tack drive... haven't had time to shoot it yet... I am going to have it...
So I am looking at purchasing the Tikka T3X Tac A1 http://www.tikka.fi/rifles/tikka-t3x/t3x-tac-a1 Would you recommend this for the beginner in PRS ? Also should I go 260 Rem or 6.5 CM... I have done some reloading but my time to do reloading is limited
I wonder if it has to do with relatively loose lands and grooves as compared to a precision barrel? Less pressure, less velocity... ? I think Frank said that he gained about 100 fps with the Bartlin 22" bbl
Frank, as per your youtube video review, can you explain why the Bartlin barrel that is 22" long, was able to produce a faster mv than the factory 24" barrel ?
It looks like it could be switched... Have you tried shooting a right handed rifle... since there is not a lot of coordination involved, it might be worth a try
Update... Swarovski is the parent company of Kahles as I understand it... apparently swarovski is somehow involved with Kahles warranty service... perhaps since Swarovski is the US distributor for Kahles... http://www.kahles.at/us/contact/
I am very surprised that I don't see any posts (at least close to the top) on this rifle... I am considering buying this rifle in 6.5 CM... I haven't found any negatives on this rifle... Seems to be a step ahead of the RPR.. Comments on any experiences good and bad on this platform most...
