    I just picked up an older Suhl single shot 22 LR.... at a bargain price... It has been sporterized... I think it was used by the Germans for marksmanship training... Will post pics eventually.... my guess is that it is a tack drive... haven't had time to shoot it yet... I am going to have it...

    I wonder if it has to do with relatively loose lands and grooves as compared to a precision barrel? Less pressure, less velocity... ? I think Frank said that he gained about 100 fps with the Bartlin 22" bbl

    It looks like it could be switched... Have you tried shooting a right handed rifle... since there is not a lot of coordination involved, it might be worth a try

    I am considering getting a Rem 700 SPS in 308 and putting a Bell and Carlson m40 stock on it and replacing the POS stock trigger with a timney and then add a harris bi pod, 20MOA pic rail As far as a scope goes not sure what to do, but this is a budget do it yourself build... I can buy...
