Are you sending in just the bolt or the whole gun. My bolt seems to work fine, but I am curious what the process is.

The 20” barrel is 3.5 oz lighter than 22”, so you figured correctly. Shot my 22” today, very impressed. Shot well with the cheapest ammo I had, Hornady gun runner 140gr. Only tried this ammo. Trigger is very crisp and consistent, but not as light as some like. Bolt lift on mine is not hard...

1040 or 0040. I thought the preorder was supposed to be 500 rifles, yet we see invoices > 1000. Just currious if they started with 1 or 1000 for their order numbers.

Thank you for the reply. It makes perfect sense, just wanted to know if the two configurations felt significantly different to you, as far as weight and balance are concerned. Sounds like 24" proof and 22" bartlein felt similar to you.

Thank you for your overview. Please share your thoughts once you shoot it. One quick question, you said that 22” 6.5 bartlein barrel was too heavy, did you try the rifle with that barrel? According to Q, 6.5 22” configuration is supposed to be about 7lb, so about 1lb heavier than 16” 308. Just...

Agreed. Also, some "real world" reviews from the few people that got the rifles. Hopefully this will be remedied as more people receive their rifles. It sounds like a few more rifles have been shipped out.

The whole thread turned a bit silly because of a couple of guys not interested in the rifle due to it not meeting their specific requirements. On the bright side we got some more info about the rifle, future plans and current production challenges, so not a total waste.

I was told $750 as well for 16" light 308. I preordered Feb 1 and still waiting, so they are a "bit" late... To be honest I expected them to be late, it seems like in this industry it is rare to see on time deliveries. What bugs most people is the lack of communication. I think just by answering...

You do? Not possible! They are wrong magazines, throw them out. As the matter of fact the whole rifle is crap since the magazine is clearly all wrong. Now, if the magazine was 0.03" longer, that would change everything....

I apologize if I misunderstood. They are doing something innovative within the realm of bolt rifles. It is still a bolt gun, so not fundamentally different from any other bolt gun. It will not be perfect, it will not replace every other rifle. If they can execute and deliver what they promised...

Any factory ammo will fit. Only very heavy or exotic bullets might have an issue, but since you are hand loading these you can adjust. You are saying the rifle will not be successful and is not future proof specifically because of the magazine they chose to use. I have a very hard time believing...
