After reading the last paragraph here, it looks like he is finding the still point in his mind. This is part of the connection to your "inner voice" or "spirit". When a person lets go of Ego and allows spirit to take control. Ego is a linear thought process, spirit is quantum (all at once...
I think you might want to use an Ultra Mag action to handle the case diameter. The internal rails are opened up a bit for the UM vs a standard magnum. Bolt face is the same.
18.15# max weight with bipod attached. You will want a 10 twist to run 200+gr bullets, 26" min length. 30" is better. All of the cut barrels are good, I prefer 5r bbls as they seem to run a little faster. Current load is 185gr hybrid @ 2680fps with a 26" tube. When I rebarrel, I will go...
I feel like a bump w/ a 4.5-14x scope... F class 600y qualifed expert. From what I have seen by the top competitors is the nightforce 42x target scopes and the Sightron Siii 10-50x scopes as the two main optics. I am seriously considering the Sightron Siii 8-32x w/ 1/8moa clicks. Hopefully...
308win with a 26" rock barrel I run 43.2gr of 4064 w/ a .015 jump. Avg on the chrono has been 2680 fps. Win brass and Fed 210M primers This load has been a sweet spot for my old barrel so I tried it in my new barrel and shot even better.
I am in the same boat as you. I just rebarreled to a Rock 10 twist in 308win on my R700. I will be running 175gr smk's until they are gone. They do well, but I want better. The guys shooting F-class T/R in my neighborhood, like the 185gr bergers and the 200gr bergers for their 308's. I...
I run a 338 rum w/ a 26" rock 5r barrel. 2600fps w/ a 300gr SMK (mild load). Shot a 196-7x at a 600y f-class match. Very easy to load for and does very well in the accuracy department. If you want a big 338 and dont want to pay lapua brass prices, go for it.
