New barrel needed; what to get?
I'm hoping to get some ideas on where I can get a new barrel for a Bushmaster BR308 (basically LR308). I've had 416 and LW50 stainless barrels on my precision guns. I've also had nitrided/melonited 4150 CMV barrels on my AR and HK builds. What I'm wondering is, does anyone make a nice 4150 CMV...- BB

I am considering an Armalite rifle length gas system (Super SASS) and gas port on a custom barrel; this rifle will have a DPMS pattern barrel extension, bolt, upper receiver and carrier. Re: 308AR resale value? I'd say its worth less unfired. Mixmaster 308 ARs can be kinda fickle; I'd want to know it runs ok.- BB

min barrel length for 1000Y 6.5 Creedmoor?
Thinking about a compact AR10 precision gun, and I want to eek out the most range as possible with the gun. My first thought is a 6.5, and then I guess it comes down to either how far do I want to go or how short do i want the barrel to be. So, I picked an arbitrary range of 1000Y ; anyone...- BB
