Muzzle Brake Tuning
I have a Tikka /Tac in 300WM. It has a TRG muzzle brake that screws on and is set with a pinch bolt. The manual says I can set it to reduce 'torque'. I have done this and think it has done that, however , other gun smiths and rifle builders pride themselves on having the brake perfectly indexed...- BCBRAD

Sako 85 finnlight 300 win or 30-06
I have a Finnlight in 30-06, with my hunting load ( 53.8gr RL-17/200gr NAB) will print 19" 3 shot group at 1040yds, so 2moa . Will do the same with 185gr Berger Hunter Classics, the 6" gong from field rest at 550 yards is relatively easy to hit. The 300 win in that rifle is long and skinny but...- BCBRAD

Most inexpensive way to anneal? Best ultrasonic cleaning solution?
Take a 3/8ths extension , cut the female end off with a zip cut, chuck it in a 3/8ths or 1/2" drill motor, mount drill in a vice at a 45 degree angle, put a 12mm deep socket on, put a gear clamp over the trigger to adjust speed with a screw driver , insert cartridge into socket, spinning above...- BCBRAD

Hunting & Fishing Do I really need a .300 Win Mag or will .30-06 be fine?
I have both a 30-06 and a 300WM, I hunt with the 30-06 (Sako Finnlight), load is 54gr RL-17, 200gr Accubond for 2725fps, wound channels on large big game must be seen to be believed, no need for the extra recoil and gun weight to get the job done.
