Im wanting a sako. But i cant decide between 30-06 and 300 win. The 30-06 has a 1/11 twist and fits the german salazar set up which means i can run smaller stuff up to 208 amax to 210 bergers. but ive got a spot where i can get out to 1300+ so 300 would fit the bill. I know these are not target rifles. But what type of profile is the barrel. They look bigger than a pencil contour. And im not gonna shoot a 100rds in a row with either. Im just wanting somthing that will get out farther than my .308. But would like it to hold accuracy with a five shot group. Thanks to all

Man those look almost like the same gun. Just a more rigid stock. Any info on the bases are they 20 moa. I know i can get a rail on the 85. Im sure these are removable.

I have a Finnlight in 30-06, with my hunting load ( 53.8gr RL-17/200gr NAB) will print 19" 3 shot group at 1040yds, so 2moa . Will do the same with 185gr Berger Hunter Classics, the 6" gong from field rest at 550 yards is relatively easy to hit. The 300 win in that rifle is long and skinny but you will be able to seat the vld's long as the magazine is quite generous.
