Hello I have 12.5 in barrel from Lilja with a matching bolt. Shooting Hornady 123 gr sst factory ammo. Any idea what happened? Too much gas or do I need a stiffer spring? I am thinking it ejected too early.

The cheapest 700 you can find. I bought a 700 adl for $350. Buy a barrel for 300 and have it installed. If you want to just drop it into the stock then buy the acc, I would imagine an adl action with a krieger 5r barrel would outshoot a factory gun and you would be about the same in the end...

Barreled action is the way to go, especially for your budget. If you had a limited budget and took your time buying a 700 adl and building as you go wouldn't be so bad but i would get the barreled action and drop it in a chasis so you dont have to spend the $300 for bedding, $300 for blue...
