    I would ask your round count... A low count may suggest that your rifle settled... My GAP built spr required .5 moa adjustment at about round 60(guessing w/out checking log)...

    Switch barrels look viable for a lot of people...cool! But I find that if I change calibers,it is because I changed the purpose of the rifle,and in turn will more than likely change the stock and optics as well... As a general purpose rifle,as mentioned earlier,a 20" 308, in at about 10 or 12...

    I've done a few with steel wool as mentioned...came out quite nice,a very soft satin look... Maybe not the same as a tung oil finish,but a lot easier and you can always strip it if you aren't happy...only cost you an hour or so and some steel wool...

    Weight first I think,second cost... The cost can be acceptable on some,especially with a DBM.... The weight can be addressed at a rise in cost... I realize that to some,weight is a non issue... But to some it is... Aesthetics can be considered or dismissed,but there are some good looking chassis...

Daddy says changing the oil in a gun when it's still working is a lot like changing the air in a tire when the old air was working just fine... I do rub some oil...

    Well done... Now don your helmet, tighten your harness...and keep your hands and feet in board at all times... It might still be a bit bumpy... Again,the 338 is serious player at long range... But something like a 7mm RM will as well,and be a lot cheaper to feed...
