I was going to try a lower node. I have been trying to contact the folks at QuickLoad to see if their data is good for the 6SLR at coated DTACs. No response so far. Is it possible for you to check your QL to see if it will cover my caliber and components.
Thanks, I might try some 107 and 110 SMKs that I have on hand. The 115 DTACS with the HbN coating give a nice ballistic advantage on "paper" anyway and a goad is to have a competitive round at 1000 to save my shoulder from my 284. Other thoughts are certainly welcome.
Perhaps some of you can help me with my issue. I get good accuracy at 100 - 300 yards shooting slow with the following load. - 115 DTAC HbN coated - Defiance action - single shot - Alliant RL 26 46.6 gr - Lapua brass - Federal primers - Bartlien 32" 1:7 twist Heavy Varmint profile - 3170 fps...
Perhaps some of my fellow shooters can help me with my issue. I get good accuracy at 100 - 300 yards shooting slow with the following load. - 115 DTAC HbN coated - Defiance action - single shot - Alliant RL 26 46.6 gr - Lapua brass - Federal primers - Bartlien 32" 1:7 twist Heavy Varmint...
I have a friend who may have access to some land were we could set up steel targets out to 8-900 yards. There are cattle off to one side and a highway off the other side though some few hundred yards away. We can build an impact berm for missed shots. The concern that we have is what if the...
I have a question on brass. I have been shooting some long range steel this summer with two rifles set up for 260 Remington. I started with Remington brass and after only three and in some cases two firings the primer pockets are large enough that I can push a primer in with finger pressure in...
I am considering a Savage Long Range Precision in 243 Win with a 1/9.25 twist barrel. I like the Sierra 107 match king bullets. Is this twist rate okay for this bullet? I have a Savage in 6BR with a 1/8 and it is a dynamite gun. Thanks
I have about 2,500 rounds in my stock Savage in 308. While shooting a match last weekend I was shooting some of my better scores. Then it went to hell. Shot a 98, 97, 98, and a 99. Then two 91s back to back. The problem was verticle stringing that did not begin until after about 8 rounds...
When competing in F Class matches registered with the NRA, I think that it is 120 shots at a certain level to make a classification. If you have 20 shot relays and 60 shot matches, does the NRA look at the entire 60 shot aggregate or at the 20 shot individual matches that make up the aggregate...
Re: Bedding the stock on a Savage 12 F T/R??? Suggest that you shoot it first after breaking in the barrel. Mine two shoot just fine with not needing a bedding job. Get the Savage instructions on torquing the screws and see if this helps even more.
