I would like to get started suggest please

Re: I would like to get started suggest please Youre price range go with a nikon buckmaster 4-18x40 with Sf and mildot. Start looking around the gunshops for older beat up rifles that are in poor condition. Use that rifle for your first build. Once the barrel and stock are removed sell...

6mm Rem or 6-284 which is better for my use

Re: 6mm Rem or 6-284 which is better for my use The question is 6mm rem or 6-284. I currently run a 6mm rem for an f-class rig. It will not have the same velocities as a 6-284 but with reloader 17 and a long barrel I bet you can get up to 3200 fps with a 105, 107 gr. bullet, an 8 twist...

    6mm rem load data

Re: 6mm rem load data I just began running some loads of both R22 and R17. Both have much improved grouping than h4831. 45 grains of R22 with 105 amax and 41 gr. of R17 with 105 amax. I cnt beleive it but the amax is shooting much better than the 107 smk. Anyways thanks to the input so...

    7mm wsm vs. 7mm rsaum

Re: 7mm wsm vs. 7mm rsaum I have a wsm action already. My choices are limited to wsm lineup. The other choice I have is to go the 300 wsm route, but the whole BC thing. I always hear about the 308 being quite regular out to 800 - 1000. I figure the 300 wsm can do whatever the 308 can and...

    7mm wsm vs. 7mm rsaum

I am planning a build on savage action for target shooting. I plan on shooting 162 amax, 168 berger, or 180 berger. I also plan on building this off of a brux barrel. Probably a 9 or 8 twist. If you had your choice of these two which would it be. Thanks in advance for the input.
