I have a Savage lightweight Hunter Rifle in .308 that is 5.5# w/o scope, I put a Vortex 4-16 PST on it and loaded it, its a litte over 7#. Joy to carry up and down mountains, and that's the only thing I use it for.
Update from my previous post. After one short range session with it. The Good, I was really impressed with clarity at this price point, I found myself looking at resolution details that I didnt think would be possible from this scope. You will like the glass for this price scope. The turrets...
I bought one, delivered today. I am by no means qualified to evaluate a high end scope, but I'll tell ya my thoughts. My first impression is it looks a lot better than the ERS, they got rid of the tall ass turret, the turrets have a nice feel, same as old one, as stated above, I like that...
Yeah , I have no doubt that Torrey is the best, but that $1200 for an adapter is pretty pricey. By not getting any responses of better products, looks like Torrey is it.

Re: Thoughts on a 300 Blackout bolt gun The .308 subsonic and the .300BO subs are not equal, I have both and run both suppressed. A .308 twist bbl will not take advantage of the optimum bullets to run a .30 cal suppressed like the Blk out can. A 240 sub in the BO has a lot more energy than...
Re: 70's striper I have fished the Washita and the Red coming into Lake Texoma. There are not many like that in there now. They say when Texoma went over the spillway in that flood a few yrs ago a big number of big striper went over. Great fun to catch.
Re: lightweight eberlestock pack I got into the same situation. Im only 44 but I have had a bunch of back work, and I was looking to lighten my load. I had an X1E and loved the pack but thought it was a little too big for a day hunt pack, and I cant lug enough stuff to stay out there...
