My 142smk .260 load is very similar to Fly_True's: 43.6 H4350 in Lapua brass at 2850fps from an AIAE with a Bartlein 24". It's sub 1/3moa- Clusterfrack

Your Advice Regarding Optics for a 5.56
A spotting scope and a 1-6x optic will do what you need. There are lots of great options out there but only a few that also provide a daylight visible 1x red dot. I'm very happy with the Leupold Mk 6 1-6.- Clusterfrack
