What are some common .22 rifle brands and models for accuracy?

I checked midway right after I posted that earlier..Seems pretty much everything is out of stock. If I knew a good one to choose, I would go ahead and order and just wait. I'm not sure which to choose though. I think I may try some ammo first, and if the 60 doesn't shoot much better, I'll then...

What are some common .22 rifle brands and models for accuracy?

The only ammo I have right now is Remington 22 Thunderbolt with the ball nose, and then Remington 22 Golden bullet with hollow point. Can't rmemeber the weights off the top of my head. I noticed people talking about good ammo, and I'd like to try some. Where can I find these good ammo...

    Long Range Zero?

I asked a simple question and got a physics lesson :) Thanks for the great info guys. All of it was likely stuff I would have asked about sooner or later.

What are some common .22 rifle brands and models for accuracy?

While I might entertain a new one, I would rather just buy a used rig if I could save a little money. Where would I find a good used rig? Like I stated earlier, I would really rather buy just the barrel and action, since I will likely buy a good stock for it.

What are some common .22 rifle brands and models for accuracy?

I have been to the Central Alabama gun club as a guest, very nice range. However, several attempts at trying to join have been unsuccesful. Seems they are very strict on their member base. Thank you for the good info folks. To be honest, I would say a budget of about $500 is all I want to...

What are some common .22 rifle brands and models for accuracy?

I have a Marlin model 60. I like the gun, but I wonder if I will be chasing my tail trying to get it to shoot accuratey. I know that some of you serious guys are shooting dedicated target rifles with heavy barrels and such. I was just wondering what a good affordable option might be? If I...

    Ok folks, thank you.

    Long Range Zero?

Provided I can actually find a range with a distance past 100 yards, I would like to start doing some serious long range stuff. I will eventually have to build up a bigger caliber rifle for the purpose. The question is, basically, where do you guys that shoot the serious distance zero your...

Where to find places to shoot long range?

I am from the area. I don't have much family left. I have an uncle living about an hour away and that's about it. I do have my inlaws, but none of them would know of anything really. I do have an old agriculture FFA teacher from high school that owns some land near us. He does the cattle...

Where to find places to shoot long range?

I guess it would be better if I lived out west or up north somewhere - where wide open expanses are more common lol

Where to find places to shoot long range?

I am considering getting into doing some shooting at long range, and I need to find a place to do it. There is actually another thread here on the main page asking about NW Alabama, but I did not want to hijack their thread. I'm in Central Alabama, not far from Montgomery. There are two...

Any Marlin model 60 Owners in here?

I had one of these when I was a little boy, and I must have run 100k rounds through that thing while growing up. I gave it away to a friend and missed it terribly. About a year ago I picked up another one that was barely used for $100, and I put a Simmons 44-Mag scope on it for fun. The...

Rifle Scopes Vortex scopes must have an awful lot of problems

I've wondered the same. I find it funny how they have a picture of a shooter / spotter team in their ads in magazines. I always think to myself "yeah right..those guys are not using Vortex stuff" lol Edit. I don't know much about optics, but I'm trying to learn. I see now after reading for...
