Any Interest shooting out to 3,000 yards in SW VA?

We found a better place since then. Now we can shoot out past 4,000 yards, as if anyone needs anything past 2 miles anyway. If you are serious in what it takes to go past 2,000 yards, then shoot me an message, and we'll try to meet up, and sling some lead, or turned bronze, lol.

    Gunsmithing 308 reamer advice

Killswitch, don't take it the wrong way, but what you are asking is kind of like asking "What engine do I need for my truck ?". Depends. are you going to run Nascar truck series, drag race, or tow a large trailer up mountains? It's really all going to come down to what you want to do with it. A...

Gunsmithing Just snapped TWO Pacific Machine Company SAKO extractors

My guess would be that the extractors aren't to hard, but either a little long, or the relief cut in the barrel is either short, or to small. .705 diameter is what a PTG recess cutter cuts, which is .010 over the standard Remington bolt nose. However you still must enlarge that for both the sako...

Night Vision price check on military issue pvs14 helmet mount? (is this a good deal?)

It would be if it is in useable shape. I have seen some of these coming back from the sandbox that are in pretty rough shape, but hey, it's $20, so it wouldn't hurt to try.

Alpha type 2 .308 magazine question

The feed ramp on the Rem. 700's have to have a clip milled in the bottom center of the feed ramp for the longer OAL' bullets to clear. If the cut isn't made then the bullet tips, will get caught under the bottom of the feed ramp. It's a very simple cut, and easy to do with a 3/16 endmill. All...

    50 BMG Breakdown

I have an Early EDM Windrunner, and I love it. It's a very compact, although heavy rifle...but what BMG isn't. That said, I have seen, and shot several of their new made guns, and I wouldn't have any of them. They all had more than one problem, and didn't shoot well at all. The early guns...

Finally finished my 20" Stiller Group buy .308

The scope height is a little high, and I may end up using a stock pack. I didn't want to go with an adjustable cheek piece because of weight. I knew the cheek weld wasn't going to be high enough with my night scope, but it isn't bad with the day scope. I went with a ADI recon rings so I could...
