    It looks like a live pilot with a bushing that is retained by a cir-clip or o ring instead a screw. No first hand experience just what I could glean from the photo.

    Look at the offerings by micro 100 they work very well. I also bought a small dia solid carbide bar that takes an insert it works equally well.

    I have had good results with the hi force and comet flux. I abrasive blast the bolt and the ring and clean thoroughly with acetone. Once the parts are clean i flux and then bring each part to temp slowly so as not to scorch the flux, apply solder in order to tin each part. Once you have the...

    Ive used an 8-40 fillister head screw loctite into place. Turn it flush. drill and ream to proper size for your pin. You can turn the FP in the lathe of grind it with a spin fixture.

    I dont think you will be able to knurl the barrel ext. They are pretty hard
