I’m interested. I just sold my Athlon scope because the diopter didn’t lock. Right now, I only consider scopes with a locking diopter because this drives me nuts. If your scope cap solves this problem then I would be able to consider a new Vortex Gen3 Razor 6-36x for my precision rimfire build.

I just ordered one of the black XTR Pros to go on my Bergara B14R action. Can't wait to get my hands on it and get it mounted and sighted. Going with the Signature rings so I can maximize the available elevation when I mount it. I am really looking forward to trying this precision rimfire...

If the reticle is in 1/4 mil, are the click adjustments on the turrets also different? Or are they still .1 mil? Does that mess things up at all?

Between these two scopes, the simple fact that the Vortex doesn’t have a locking reticle focus would eliminate it from my consideration.

Isn’t the NX8 comparable to the Vortex Razor HD LHT 3-15 scopes?

Thanks, of the ones you mentioned, only the T6Xi and NX8 (and also the ATACR) have locking reticle, and focus down to at least 25 yds. I'd pass on the Steiner only because it's a Burris clone, and I've had such good luck with Burris over the years, if I'm going away from Burris, it would not be...

If it hasn’t already been mentioned, locking diopter focus ring.

Why don’t more manufacturers use a locking diopter? It seems this is something that gets set once when setting up the scope, and then, for the most part doesn’t change. I find it annoying as I shop for an optic that the don’t all have it.
