Rear scope cap that doesn't mess up diopter adjustment

I’m interested. I just sold my Athlon scope because the diopter didn’t lock. Right now, I only consider scopes with a locking diopter because this drives me nuts. If your scope cap solves this problem then I would be able to consider a new Vortex Gen3 Razor 6-36x for my precision rimfire build.

Rifle Scopes Steiner T6Xi 3-18x56 Review and comparison with NF ATACR 4-16x42, S&B US 3-20x50 and March 4.5-28x52

Very nice write-up, as has been mentioned. As a newbie, I appreciate the info. Unfortunately, it only confirms how little I know about scopes... But thanks anyway!

    Burris XTR Pro 🇺🇸

Damn, I can't believe how long I just spent looking for this post. I remember reading it way back when... I wonder why this isn't mentioned anywhere in the manual, or anyplace else on the internet for that matter. I gotta remember this when my XTR Pro gets here, I want to be able to dial below...

Jumping into LRPS w/ my first "premium" optic.

I don’t think so, but I am not a scope aficionado like many here. I just want good value and great warranty so I never have to worry about it. I have an XTR-iii 3-18 that I like a lot. I just ordered the new black XTR Pro for my precision rimfire rifle, and I have a Vortex Razor HD sfp scope on...

    Oryx Bipod has launched!

Can anyone with the sling swivel version of this comment on how stable it is? I just put an At-One stock on my 10/22 and it has 2 sling swivel studs on the forend. I'd like to get a bipod for it. I'm not crazy about the Harris bipod and this looks like a good alternative. Is it a solid...

    Best rimfire PRS scope

I just ordered one of the black XTR Pros to go on my Bergara B14R action. Can't wait to get my hands on it and get it mounted and sighted. Going with the Signature rings so I can maximize the available elevation when I mount it. I am really looking forward to trying this precision rimfire...

    Burris XTR Pro 🇺🇸

If the reticle is in 1/4 mil, are the click adjustments on the turrets also different? Or are they still .1 mil? Does that mess things up at all?

    Gen3 razor vs atacr 7-35

Between these two scopes, the simple fact that the Vortex doesn’t have a locking reticle focus would eliminate it from my consideration.

    Comparable option to Nightforce NX8?

Isn’t the NX8 comparable to the Vortex Razor HD LHT 3-15 scopes?

Rifle Scopes Burris XTR3 vs XTR Pro Initial Showdown

How does the Black XTR Pro differ from the regular XTR Pro? Nevermind, I just saw your other post with a pic. Thanks.

Rifle Scopes Burris XTR3 vs XTR Pro Initial Showdown

Thanks, of the ones you mentioned, only the T6Xi and NX8 (and also the ATACR) have locking reticle, and focus down to at least 25 yds. I'd pass on the Steiner only because it's a Burris clone, and I've had such good luck with Burris over the years, if I'm going away from Burris, it would not be...

Rifle Scopes Nightforce NX8 vs ATACR

So which one of these would be best on a precision Rimfire bolt gun? ATACR 7-35x56 or NX8 4-32x50, assuming both have the MIL-XT reticle? I'm also looking at the Burris XTR Pro or XTR III 5.5-30x56 as well, with the SCR2 reticle. I can only afford to make one scope choice for this rifle, I have...

Rifle Scopes Burris XTR3 vs XTR Pro Initial Showdown

Just giving this a quick bump to see how folks are feeling between the XTR Pro and XTR III now that it's been a few more months. I'm about to order one of these for my Bergara B14R Precision Rimfire build, but can't decide if the Pro is worth the extra money over the XTR III. It seems like...

If the manufacturer was listening, what realistic thing would you change about your favorite optic?

If it hasn’t already been mentioned, locking diopter focus ring.

Questions about the Zeiss LRP S3 6-36x56 MRAD

Why don’t more manufacturers use a locking diopter? It seems this is something that gets set once when setting up the scope, and then, for the most part doesn’t change. I find it annoying as I shop for an optic that the don’t all have it.

Burris Customer Services at its worst, please help/advise. (UPDATE: 09DEC23)

Hi, which specific model Razor did you decide on as a replacement? I’m curious as I’ll be looking for something in the 5-25x range in the spring, and the Burris was at the top of my list due to value for the money, and a locking reticle focus. I haven’t fully ruled out the Burris, but I do want...

Need help finding a 30mm cantilever mount that removes 5-10moa of cant.

Thanks, I was surprised when it didn’t. It never occurred to me that it wouldn’t, but then again, I’m a beginner, and switching to the adjustable rings seemed like the best course forward since I was pretty sure I could get them to work. The eye relief issue also didn’t occur to me because I was...

Need help finding a 30mm cantilever mount that removes 5-10moa of cant.

Negative, the 10/22 receiver has an integral 30moa rail. The American Defense mount was a 0moa mount. You read too fast, the 30mm is the scope tube size. :)

Need help finding a 30mm cantilever mount that removes 5-10moa of cant.

I got the 3-15x42, which I like a lot. When I installed it in an American Defense 30mm mount and tried to zero it, I came up just a couple clicks short. I swapped the mount for the XTR rings and with a -5moa cant, I was able to zero and still have 3 mils of downward travel left. This is...
