Re: 2 pistols exploded in less than a month. Advice? I'm leaning towards ammo too. The more I think of it, it doesn't make sense how the base of the shell just blew off like that. If it was a problem with the gun, wouldn't the shell stay in one piece as it should? It's a strong possibility...
Re: 2 pistols exploded in less than a month. Advice? The Mini Mag is recommended by Walther to be used in the P22. I don't know about the 22a, the only specification listed in the manual is that ammos used meets SAAMI standards.
First pistol: Walther P22, part of the slide was blown into pieces (I don't know how many since I couldn't recover a big chunk). I had shot about 100 Federal Auto Match ammo and had just started shooting my first magazine of CCI Mini Mags. Maybe the 4th round or so I get the end result pictured...
Re: Tips for traveling with gu CLEANING supplies Back in my model car building days I used to store liquid glues, thinners etc.. in these kinds of vials http://www.specialtybottle.com/index.asp?PageAction=Custom&ID=12 Then I would stick the vial inside old pill bottles.Like these...

Re: BIG +1 for Manners Where did you get that bolt handle? Also, how did Manners install the cheekpiece? Did they have to add the metal spacers to screw it on?
Re: B&C Medalist vs Stockade I ended up with a B&C, I really had to remind myself that this was supposed to be a budget build. I think once I'm done with this 308 I'm going to place an order for a Manners for the 223 I'm planning on buying later. I know, I'm not even done with the first and...
Re: B&C Medalist vs Stockade I looked at the Manners but in the end it comes close to 900 when I keep in mind the cost of the cdi bottom metal and its still a minimum 3 month wait.
I'm doing my final research on what stock I'm going to buy and was hoping to get the opinions of those who have owned or have experience with both. Which one is the better stock? This is for a Savage 10 SA. From my perspective these are the pros and cons of each. But would still like the...
Re: Stockade money saver stock That is a nice looking rifle. What kind of spray texture did you use? I've never been good with a rattle can and I was afraid of runs (I'm sure there's 5 year olds that can spray paint better than me) but I hadn't thought of using textured paint first. Then I...
Has anybody purchased the money saver option? I was thinking of doing that so I could add the option of the adjustable cheek piece with the $$ saved. If anyone has bought the money saver, how much work is it to get it ready for paint? What kind of primer and paint did you use?
Re: New Savage Model 10 in B&C Medalist will it fit? I agree, Savage is a lot more confusing than Remington. But I'm willing to deal with a little confusion in exchange for saving some $$.
Re: New Savage Model 10 in B&C Medalist will it fit? I thought I was purchasing the correct stock, I know it has the 4.4" spacing and it is a centerfeed model. Which means I would need B&C mode 2997 (someone in the forum had pointed me in the right direction before I knew anything about the...
