Questions about zero consistency.
WV Shooter, We have run into the same thing while prairie dogging in South Dakota. We have a 300 yard target in camp where we zero our rifles along with a 600, 930, and 1170 yard gongs. Gunsmithing anyone converting a 22 hornet to a 22 k hornet?

Shooter, Dollar bill clearance is probably not enough. Hold the rifle near the front screw and rap the forend with the flat of your hand smartly. The barrel should not touch when you do this. J, Times have changed since '62 when I had my first Douglas barrel put on an old '98 Mauser, it was chambered in 219 Donaldson Wasp. Dennis, We do it on our prairie dog rifles in the field. Actually use the outside action wrench with the proper sized aluminum bushings for the barrels. Gunsmithing Bushing a boltface
Alibi, Yes the factory ejector pin hole is the same on both bolt faces,on the 222 size about 1/3 of the hole is in the outer ring. You could also use the riveted extractor available from Brownells. Dale- DALE '45
