Gunsmithing 700SA .378 bolt face...firing pin size?

Thanks for that!

Are there any issues with 223 bolt face 700SAs cratering and piercing primers like there are with standard bolt face 700SAs doing so with small primered cartridges like x47L and Dasher?

20171217_172553 (2).jpg Most modern cartridges will crater with the traditional .075" firing pin. It's just physics. As pressure goes up, firing pin diameter has to go down. Latel I do more firing pin bushing than any other job. Simple quick fix. $80. I've never seen cratering after bushing a firing pin to .062. I recommend it for every target rifle. --Jerry
