Watch Out for Scammers!
We've now added a color code for all accounts. Orange accounts are new members, Blue are full members, and Green are Supporters. If you get a message about a sale from an orange account, make sure you pay attention before sending any money!
I have gone through thousands of ejection port covers this year. I could count on one hand the number of bad ones, whether it is the spring/detent or they were not crimped together properly, it does occasional happen. They all come from just a few sources. I would take the chance to add some...
I had a 14.5" 308 for awhile. with the permanently attached muzzle break, it was the most obnoxious rifle to shoot I have ever owned. At the range, people for 2 or 3 benches on either side would stop shooting and get up....heck, it was obnoxious even standing directly behind someone shooting it...
that is a good first post. This site does have a for sale section for active members.....and sorry to burst your bubble, the second hand market on those is $1500 to $2000, so it is not a smoking deal, just average pricing.
but does the 06 need to get the ITAR? just curious, I am going to get a FFL again, very least a 01, maybe add the NFA to it. I do not know if I want to do the 07 again....The 06 interests me, but the dam insurance!!! hell, would be worth it just to manufacturer 22LR :)
Go with the LWRC. I love my ASA side chargers (I have a few of them, 308s, 9mm, 223...and 2 other builds in process). On the second hand market POF 308s are going $1500 to $2100 range with little use on them. POF main advantage is the Mike Rock Barrel.
Grafs has Lapua and Nosler 123grn projectiles. Midsouth shooting supply has both brands also. Midway has Hornady A-max in stock.....check out wideners, natchez, cabelas, bruno's, natchez shooter supply also.
I was just at Bruno's, they have a few 1lb bottles of 8208 in stock if anyone is looking. They are now out of 8208 and AR-Comp 8lb bottles :) (gee how did that happen :) )
If you don't mind building it yourself: Beyer Barrels - Home I just ordered 2 of their 18" SPR barrels to finish a long overdue build for my daughter and myself.
the 308s are finicky in this style of piston system. changing the weight of buffer, strength of spring can cause problems, as you have experienced. Soon as I started reading the OPs first post I was saying to myself "Piston". There is a reason POF has various sizes of pistons on hand. To tune...
I love when these threads come up. If your in a position to find out the strength differences between the two, my guess is that your world has gone to hell in a hand basket in a very very bad way......or your doing something with the lower that it was never meant to do, IE: jack stand, baseball...
I have one of those blocks, never had a problem with it. Actually I really like is because it lets you adjust the block position for the mags. My modified uzi mags sit a little differently then my Colt mags, so it is set for using the Colt mags. If your using a block, the lower can be any...
