I had a 14.5" 308 for awhile. with the permanently attached muzzle break, it was the most obnoxious rifle to shoot I have ever owned. At the range, people for 2 or 3 benches on either side would stop shooting and get up....heck, it was obnoxious even standing directly behind someone shooting it...

Go with the LWRC. I love my ASA side chargers (I have a few of them, 308s, 9mm, 223...and 2 other builds in process). On the second hand market POF 308s are going $1500 to $2100 range with little use on them. POF main advantage is the Mike Rock Barrel.

You can run a DI bolt in them. but the Hogan/pof carriers have an integral piston key machined into them, so are specific for there systems.

The Key here is that you did not put money down. A customer can only bitch/gripe so much when they do not have any money already invested......Paying upfront IS asking for trouble. I have seen a lot of companies get themselves in trouble with customers because of this.
