Mine does seem to prefer the 168's. Tonight it was tending towards 1/2 to 3/4 MOA with them. In all honesty right now I'm wondering which shots are my fault and which are the rifles. I did have some bug hole groups with the 168's with maybe 1 out of a 5 shot group drifting out of the same...
My Civilian SCAR 20s has the exact same charging handle as my other SCAR 17's. Probably the exact same one as the SCAR 16 too, I haven't tried swapping them out yet. The bolt handle reciprocates exactly like every other SCAR. The ringing is from the 3 prong flash hider. I'll be changing it...
I put a Nightforce 3.5-15 NXS on mine for now. I almost think the mount is more important. I went with a SPUHR. I had issues with another scope in a Larue LT111. I think a stiffer mount is called for with the Scars Aluminum receiver and heavy bolt carrier. You couldn't Pay me to take...
First things noticed are that comes with one 10rd mag. No issue for me since I already have others. Best thing is that it comes with a Geisselle super SCAR Trigger. The Geisselle is a $400 option I've added to my other SCAR'S so really at $3995 this rifle isnt much more than a std SCAR with a...
Brownells sells kits of spring stock. You can trim them to your own lengths. With the newer over-lawyered Walker triggers I think you will find it necessary to replace the springs with springs that are slightly longer but have thinner wire in their coils. This will allow you to lighten the...
M113A3, I've been reloading for longer than I care to admit (a few decades) and am just now seriously getting into annealing. You should never be to old to learn new tricks! I had another annealing machine but never used it due to some open flame restrictions where I currently live. When I saw...
ALL brass is annealed several times during manufacturing. The final neck annealing is so critical to the performance and reliability of the munition, Military ammo is almost always left with the annealing marks exposed. Commercial ammo is made to look pretty so they go through the extra...
Personally I wouldn't take the risk. I'd toss the brass and be more careful next time. Risking a Kaboom from a totally annealed soft case wouldn't be worth it to me..........
I went the same way for the same reason. The Annealing Made Perfect machine is SO easy to use! I also can't imagine a more precise way to setup and anneal brass. They evaluate each lot of brass in each caliber and examine the stuff under a microscope to determine the perfect settings to achieve...
How well to the QR mounts return to zero? Would it be at all feasible to use a scope like the pulsar trail off the rifle as a monocular while stalking or spotting and then attach it to the rifle before shooting? How useful are the phone apps on scopes like the Pulsar trail?
How well do red-Dot sights that have night vision settings work with NV or thermal helmet mounted binoculars? I already own a couple aimpoints and Eotechs that have the night vision settings, would it be workable to spend all the budget at first on a good helmet mounted NV or Thermal and use...
