My problem is that I can't find any 1/2x28 brakes in stock anywhere so I was wondering if I could use a 1/2x28 to 5/8x24 adapter and use a 30 cal brake? I'm concerned about adding another threaded...

    I would just send off for the sbr stamp and wait it out. It's not worth not being able to use the can on other rifles if want making it a huge pain to change your AR up at all.

    I have a Harris brms with built in larue mount and it works pretty well. I also have a GG&G XDS-2 that I really like. The GG&G is on my heavy savage and I've had no problems with it.

    You'll be fine suppressed with out an adjustable gas block, just stick with the pri if you want it to look authentic. Stick with a bcg from a reputable company and you'll be fine. Young's is good and thats what I run in my mk12 mod 0. Don't forgot that spray paint is part of the milspec standard...
