Got out again today finally. Got to stretch the legs on those 150gr'ers. Plugged in my data to BalisticAE and rang steel on my first shot at 1000 yds. It's a 60% silhouette, put one right in the middle.
I am starting out with some IMR4350 because I have it on the shelf, and powder is still tough to find in this area at times. Shooting 24" factory Thompson barrel in 7MM Rem Mag. 63 grains of 4350 loaded .02" off the lands gave me 3050fps. That's the max load on the Nolser web site, however I...
Just finished my first test with the 150gr ABLR's. According to my balistic calculator and my new 610 yard dope, the B.C. is accurate as advertised! Input my chrono speed from 100 yard zero, atmospheric conditions, and range into balistic AE, and hit 2" high and 2" left at 610. That's as good as...
My box just shipped this morning, and I will be headed to the powder depot next weekend. I will be sure to post results as soon as I get them. As soon as the temperature is higher than 15.
Gentlemen, I have a Lyman Super Targetspot Scope atop a pristine Model 52 that needs help. The crosshairs are faded and need replaced. This rifle is my Grandfather's old competition rifle and I would love to have it repaired. Anyone have any recommendations for a good place to send it? This...
At the risk of standing out, I bought a venture. Its a little light for the 7MM Rem Mag chamber, but in a varmint caliber it would be a great rifle. I am considering buying one in .223 just for coyotes and woodchucks so my boy can have my. 17hmr.
I need help. Loaded up some 175 SMK with 67gr of Reloader 25. At 200yds my groups were about 1.5" up and down, and nice and centered. Moved back to 300yds, dialed up my .5 mils. Shot 2 seven inch groups. Still about 1.5" up and down, but 7" left and right. To get the center of the group dialed...
Thanks for the info Mike. I did find a diagram showing the required clearance. Working with a 100% home made recievers. We will have a thread when its done. Pics start to finish, all that stuff.
Has anyone tried milling down the stock gas block? I can do some pretty amazing things with a milling machine and some carbide. Not really looking for a rifle with rails BCP. I wont mount anything to them anyway, so I would rather keep the clean look.
Just ordered an MK12, should be here in 5 days. I was looking at Brownell's AR builder, and it tells me that this barrel won't work with a rifle length free float tube. It has a rifle length gas system, so should I assume this is just because of the single rail gas block that is installed? If...
